Background

World Children’s Day was first established in 1954 as Universal Children’s Day and it is celebrated on 20th November each year. World Children Day offers each of us an inspirational entry-point to advocate, promote and celebrate children rights, translating into dialogues and actions that will build a better world for children.

Opening
The sessions were started recitation of Holy Quran by one of the Participants and the stage secretary further elaborated the session and invited some students for Naat and after that a group of students performed tablues with national songs.
The stage Secretary invited the honourable Guests to deliver their speeches about the welfare of children as this day offers each of us an inspirational entry-point to advocate, promote and celebrate children’s rights, translating into dialogues and actions that will build a better world for children

The local games also played in this event to encourage the children in participating such types of activities which are as furnished below in bullets points.

1. 20 little kids of KG and class 1 participated in Race.
2. 8 schools’ children from class 4 played the game apple eating.
3. Third game was Sack race was played by class 6th and 7th,
8 students participated.
4. In the game ” Tug of war ” 16 students participated. Played by 10 participant of class 1st and 2nd year, 9th and 10th.
5. DIPO game was played among class 1st and 2nd year in which 10 students participated
6. In girls’ schools the local games named “Chindro, Musical chare and skipping” was performed by students.

All the participants enjoyed these games and the motivation of students during playing.

Prizes Distribution

At the end of the function prizes distributed among the winners and shields for all the games participants, Principals and District focal persons paid thanks to the School Safety Cell Directorate of Elementary and Secondary Education Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with technical and financial support of UNICEF for organizing this important event.
