Background

The 3rd of December is observed annually as the International Day of Disabled Persons, also called the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPwD).
Celebrate Disability Day. Each year since 1992, a variety of events are held in many countries. Disability Day is used for holding discussions, forums and campaigns relating to disability, and communities are encouraged to organize meeting, talks, and even performances in their local areas.
Opening

The sessions were started with recitation of Holy Quran by one of the Participants and the stage secretary further elaborated the session and invited students for national anthem and after that a group of participants balloons flight in the air with the massage of International Day of Persons with disabilities.
The stage Secretary invited the honourable Chief Guest Mr. Yonis Afridi District Social Welfare Officer to deliver their speech about the wellbeing of children as this day offers each of us an inspirational entry-point to advocate, promote and celebrate children’s rights, translating into dialogues and actions that will build a better world for persons with disabilities.

The games also played in this event to encourage the special children in participating such types of activities which are as furnished below in bullets points.

1. Balloons filling competition by deaf and dumb.
2. Apple eating compaction by Mentally retarded MR children
3. Musical chair competition by MR and deaf children
4. Sign language knowledge competition by deaf children

All the participants enjoyed these games and the motivation of special children during playing.

Prizes Distribution

At the end of the function prizes distributed among the winners and shields for all the games, DSWO also distributed UNICEF school bags and gifts to the special children.
District social welfare officer principals MR&PH and Deaf and Dumb Schools paid thanks to the School Safety Cell Directorate of Elementary and Secondary Education Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with technical and financial support of UNICEF for organizing this important event.

Closing
The Event was ended with group photo as a memory for the participants and recall this date every year. The lunch boxes were provided to all the participants
