Plantation Drive

Did you know, Pakistan ranks among the top ten countries most affected by climate change? Immediate action is needed to safeguard the planet for our future generations.
🌳 Radoslaw Rzehak (Chief of Field, UNICEF Peshawar) Christine W. ( Education Manager, UNICEF), Syed Fawad Ali Shah (Education Specialist, UNICEF), Director Programs Implementation Support Unit – DoE & SE KP Syeda Umm e Laila and Manager Programs Pir Fahad Ali Shah alongside Forestry and Education Directorate officials, led the Plantation Drive organized by ISU-Directorate of Education, promoting the importance of environmental conservation. As we say, “The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago, the next best time is now!” 🌱 The event featured an enlightening tour of the Pakistan Institute of Forestry Museum, highlighting Pakistan’s rich flora and fauna. Guests actively participated by planting saplings, contributing to a greener future! 🌿
Implementation Support Unit Directorate of Elementary & Secondary Education Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with the technical & Financial Support of UNICEF Pakistan , has started Plantation Drive 2024 across Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa in Government Primary Schools. Students, PTC, Teachers, Forest Department, Civil Defence and many other stake holders and Community is actively participating in the climate change cause and prevailing the message of importance of Plants in the future.
ISU DoE&SE in collaboration with Forest Institute Peshawar, organized an inauguration event of plantation Drive 2024. In this event ISU, UNICEF, Forest Department, teachers, students and community participated. At the end of the event plantation drive was carried out at Forest Institute Peshawar
