5 Day Traning of Teachers On Formative Assessment & Foundation Literacy & Numeracy

Implementation Support Unit (ISU) Directorate of Elementary and Secondary Education (DoE&SE), with the technical and financial support of UNICEF , successfully completed three sessions of 5-day training for teachers on “formative assessment and foundational literacy and numeracy under the project of “Initiative on Climate Change Adaptation and Emergency Preparedness for the Children of Pakistan’s Indigenous Community of Kalash People” at Terichmir View Hotel, Chitral.

A total of 108 teachers (48 male and 60 female) participated. These trainings were monitored, and valuable feedback was provided by Ms. Shahida Noor Ali (Education Specialist), Ms. Momina Ahmed (Education Officer) UNICEF, Mr. Gohar Ali Khan (Director DCTE), Mr. Fahad Ali Shah (Program Manager, Implementation Support Unit), Mr. Mehmood Ghaznavi (DEO-M), Mr. Shahid Hussain (DDEO-M), Ms. Ghazala Anjum (DEO-F), and Ms. Zubida Khanum (DDEO-F), of District Chitral. These trainings will help the teachers to enhance basic literacy and numeracy skills for improved educational outcomes, promote social and economic inclusion by providing equitable learning opportunities, and empower students with critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to foster lifelong learning and prevent extremism.
